About Our Home

A message from Stephanie

I began my career in care when I was 16 and have worked in the care sector for over 20 years. I have seen all sides of the care home business including laundry, kitchen and then as a care worker and deputy manager. I have also had experience in domiciliary care.

Moving to Oxford in 2010 saw my path into care management begin. I’m passionate about delivering person centred care and for our residents to feel happy, comfortable, and most importantly at home.

Our vision has always been that it is first and foremost our residents’ home; a place where they feel loved, safe, respected and treated with dignity. To help achieve this, our staff must understand our values, and be kind and compassionate…but also fun!

There is nothing I like more than walking into a room and seeing my residents smiling and laughing, they deserve to have fun and we really are one big family!

I’m a huge animal lover and you will see my dog Benji in and around the home regularly, he is very much part of the Churchfields family and makes such a difference to the lives of so many of our residents.

We go above and beyond to look after our team. Our commitment to a high staff ratio ensures staff have time to deliver quality care they can feel proud of, and to build valued relationships. We listen to our staff, seek their feedback and implement their ideas for continuous improvement.

Ongoing training and development is actively encouraged and supported for everyone, to ensure the highest standards of care for all our residents and their needs, whether that be with dementia or nursing care.

Best Wishes,

Stephanie Eley
