Our ethos

Care Home Manager - Churchfields

About Sharon

My name is Sharon, and I am the manager here at Churchfields Care Home.

My journey in care started in 2016 following the death of my father. After caring for him at home and coming to the realisation that great care can make all the difference, I decided to work in Domiciliary care. I missed working with others so when I saw carer positions advertised at Churchfields in 2017, I decided to come for an interview.

From the minute I walked in. I felt at home. I worked my way from Care Assistant to a Senior Carer position and wanted to work in other departments too. I was soon offered the Deputy Manager position. I am now the new Home Manager and couldn’t be prouder of Churchfields.

I am extremely passionate about providing a caring, stimulating environment for our lovely residents to be in and making sure that our staff have the training and compassion they need for this to happen.

A Family-Centred Care Home

Staying connected with loved ones can enhance the well-being of our residents, so we actively encourage families to be part of daily life here. Whether it’s joining in at mealtimes, taking part in an activity or dropping in whenever you can, we keep our doors open and communication clear.

We know that the transition to care can be a big step, but we’re here to make it smooth by working closely with families every step of the way. At Churchfields, we care for our residents while welcoming their families as part of our extended community, ensuring everyone feels at home.

It’s our team that really makes the difference. With a combination of skill and heart, our dedicated staff deliver care that feels personal, attentive and genuinely compassionate. Many of our team members have been with us for years, forming genuine, lasting relationships with residents and their families.

Exceptional care starts with a strong, skilled and experienced team, so we focus on continuous training and mentorship to ensure our staff are always at their best.
