How We Earned Our Outstanding Rating
Here at Churchfields, we are proud to have been rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). Our sister care home, Rosebank, also joins us in being one of only nine other care homes in Oxfordshire to hold this rating.
With no tick box available to guarantee an ‘Outstanding’ outcome, care homes work incredibly hard on consistently maintaining high standards and going above and beyond for those in their care. For us, it is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our care team, and our dignified approach to care.
Our high standards of care stem from the passion and vision of Jane Roberts, the owner of both Churchfields and Rosebank. For Jane, it has always been crucial that the care offered in both homes is centred around giving residents a sense of purpose and belonging, supporting residents in doing the things they enjoy and making sure they feel loved and secure.
No home can achieve an Outstanding CQC rating without a clear philosophy and a care team that supports that vision. This shared vision is supported by having a clear recruitment plan, that ensures all new staff share that commitment and compassion to deliver high quality, individual care.
In addition, we focus intently on making every resident feel happy and fulfilled. Residents are actively encouraged to take the lead with what happens in the home; from deciding how they want to spend their day, to the food being served, as well as when to have their favourite tipple!
Both homes continually strive for continuous improvement. Our wonderful staff are always looking for new, innovative ways to ensure our residents remain fulfilled and happy.
Our goal is always that every day with us should be a day well-lived.
