Cassington care home marks its first birthday

Our residents and staff were in high spirits recently when we celebrated our first birthday, and took a look back at our first year at Churchfields.

Since taking over the home in March 2016, a minibus has been introduced to the grounds to enable our dedicated lifestyle support co-ordinators to easily take residents out and about to events as part of a varied activities schedule.

Refurbishment work is currently underway to extend the living space for residents. Building work includes a new dining room and additional sitting room, which are currently under construction. The sitting room will lead onto a newly designed, scented courtyard, with beautiful views of the Oxfordshire countryside.

Jane commented: “It’s been a busy but exciting year at Churchfields. I have to say, absolutely nothing could have been achieved without our fabulous team. They continue to work together to provide the very best for our residents. I couldn’t be prouder of them.

“Our ethos has always been to deliver high quality care in a loving, homely and friendly environment where our residents are treated with the dignity and respect that they so deserve. I’m positive we have provided a place where residents feel that their needs are met and we will always strive to learn, develop and be the best.”

Resident Aileen Ashford, added: “I’ve lived at Churchfields for six months now and I’ve found all members of staff to be extremely caring. They’ve always been on hand to give me help when I’ve needed it and my room is always kept clean and comfortable.”
